Vitamins and Minerals

Minerals are inorganic nutrients that are essential for many body functions. They cannot be produced by the human organism and must therefore be included in the diet. An unbalanced diet can lead to a state of deficiency. In addition, under certain conditions (illness, competitive sports, …) there may be a higher requirement for these substances.

Vitamins are organic compounds that basically regulate metabolic functioning. They are essential to the maintenance of good health and performance and, with few exceptions, must also be included in the diet. If the supply of vitamins is inadequate in the diet, they must be taken as supplements.
